Ramkamhaeng National Park (Khao Luang) This national park was declared on October 27, 1080. It is located at Khirimat District, approximately 36 kms from Sukhothai city. The areas consist of high hills and steep cliffs, some 1,200 meters above sea level. Waterfalls, different species of plants and wildlife are some of the major attractions for nature loving tourists. There are also the archaeological and historical sites with ancient remains.     An interesting information is that from the park's office visitors who want to climb up the mountain will have to walk for 3,720 meters to reach the top for camping. The walking time will be at least 3 hours, with 2,500 meters of rather steep climb.
