Seashell Museum The Phuket Seashell Museum & Shop is privately owned by Phuket Seashell Co.,Ltd. It is located at 12/2 Moo 2, Wiset Road, Tambon Rawai, Muang District. This museum has large amount of seashell collections from Thailand and all over the World. You will be impressed to see the displays of the museum with so many ancient seashells, some of them are more than 200 million years old. The museum is about 2 years old and has been visited by many VIPs, tourists, and students. Mr.Somchai Pathamakantin, the owner of the museum, was born in Damnoen Saduak, Ratchaburi Province. He came to Phuket when he was young and started to collect seashells for selling. Finally, he built this museum for the collection of valuable and hard to find seashells from around the world for the image of Phuket, for education, for tourist attraction, and to fulfill his endeaver.
